Santa Marinella
In the area of Santa Marinella inhabited ancient sites have been identified in Neolithic and Bronze Age. In sec. IX BC arose in the territory of the settlement Punicum, the settlement of Pyrgi (now Santa Severa), probably Phoenician, and finally the Roman settlement of Castrum Novum. Very impressive is the castle Odescalchi , built at different times around the ancient tower on the sea, built in the eleventh century.
In 1887 the Odescalchi buys the farm, turning it until the early twentieth century, first in the most elegant and sought-after seaside resort north of Rome. P>
